Four Warriors Score in Double Figures in Win Over Bethany

Sterling, Kan. – For the second game in a row, the Warrior men led from wire to wire. Jumping out to a 7-2 lead early on, they never allowed Bethany College to get within an arm's reach in their 88-77 win on Wednesday night. Sterling led by as many as 21 points at one point in the evening, but a relentless Swede defensive attack allowed them appear to get back in the game. Sterling never really gave up control.

Jayden Garrison had the hot hand once again scoring 24 points to lead all scorers in the game. Garrison shot over 50% from the field and three point range, while going a perfect 2-2 at the free throw line. Rounding out the Warriors who scored in double figures were Elijah Herron with 16, Mooch Austin and Damond Daniels with 15 apiece. Austin narrowly missed a double-double with 9 rebounds to lead all Warriors.

As a team, Sterling shot 47% from the field and 50% from beyond the arc. They also went 17-22 from the free throw line, shooting a solid 77% from the charity stripe. The Warriors were outrebounded 36-30 but won in the assists, points off turnovers, fastbreak points, and of course the one that really matters, the final score.

Sterling returns to action on Saturday at Avila University. They take on the Eagles at 3 pm. This is their final matchup before Thanksgiving. With tonight's win, the Warriors improve their record to 7-1 this season.
