STERLING COLLEGE SWIMMING POOL
Sterling College Swimming Pool Information:
During the academic year, the Sterling College pool allows open-lap swim times for current college students, faculty, staff, and the Rice County community. Sterling College students, faculty, and staff can use the pool for free with their ID. Community members may use the pool for $2 per person.
Regular Lap Swim Times:
Tuesday and Thursday's 6:00 am - 7:30 am and 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Sunday's 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
*Evenings and Sundays are currently unavailable due to lack of guards
Pool Information:
The pool is a 6-lane, 25-yard pool, and the “shallow” side is still 4 feet deep. It is intended for adults to lap swim in. Consider this if you have smaller children or weaker swimmers.

Pool Parties at Sterling College

Contact Coach Dale Heckman at 620-278-4406 or email dale.heckman@sterling.edu. We will do our best to return your message within 24 hours. Parties should be booked two weeks in advance and cannot be scheduled during normal lap swim hours or classes. Weekends are preferred.
Rules:
We do have some child-size life jackets, but life jackets, pool floaties, noodles, etc., are not a replacement for a parent's direct supervision. If you have smaller children, especially in large groups, we ask that adults be in the water and attentive to the children, remaining within arm's reach.
Any activity deemed too dangerous/unsafe will be stopped. No running, rough horseplay, diving in shallow water, or extended breath holding.
Lifeguards may exercise their best judgment in limiting or stopping certain behaviors. Lifeguards have the final say. If rules are continually broken without heeding the warnings of lifeguards, you will be asked to leave with no refund.
We ask for a safe environment where everyone can have fun and enjoy themselves. We aim to maintain this to maximize your experience at the pool.
Payment:
Pool Rental is 25 dollars an hour.
Guards are $10 an hour.
Parties less than 30 require two guards. 30+ is three guards. 40+ is four guards.
Checks can be made out to Sterling College; in the memo, please write “pool rental.”
