The Warriors unable to comeback from the Stars' strong start

Following a double header against Bethany College, the Sterling College Warriors faced a tough Oklahoma City University team who was fresh and ready to go, with the final scoreboard reading 19-4 in favor of the home team. The matchup, which took place on Monday, Feb. 17, in Oklahoma City, Okla. with the Warriors struggling to counter the Stars' strong offensive plays.

From the outset, Oklahoma City Stars dominated the game, setting an aggressive pace with early home runs that put the Sterling College Warriors on the defensive.

Despite efforts to rally back into contention, the Warriors, led by their starting pitcher Nehemiah House who surrendered nine runs on 10 hits with two walks, two strikeouts and two homeruns over three innings.

Sterling College managed to narrow the gap later in the game, gaining momentum with runs scored by James Easter, Eric Beyale, Ezavien Campos, and Jace Phillips. Notable contributions also came from Joshua Garcia and Easter, each securing an RBI, highlighting brief moments of offensive success.

Despite the unfavorable outcome, this game takes the Warriors' season record to 4-6. As the Warriors look forward to their upcoming games, adjusting their strategy and learning from this loss will be crucial to improving their standings and performance in the season ahead.
