Game 1
Due to weather, the Sterling College Warriors traveled down to Oklahoma City on Monday, Feb. 17 where they dropped game one of a double header in a closely contested conference opener against the Bethany Swedes. Sterling College Warriors fell short by one run with a final score of 8-7. Despite a robust team effort, the Warriors could not clinch the victory.

Additionally, Emmanuel Huerta Cardenas, Nate Heffline, and Jason Smith each added a run to the Warriors' total.
On the RBI front, Andrew Dutro and Huertas Cardenas led the team with two RBIs, supporting the scoring drive alongside Morales and Jackson Parmenter who both drove in one.
Despite the strong offensive output, Bethany College's William Sanchez hit a crucial home run that drove in three runs that contributed to the Swedes' win. Starting pitcher Aaron Alvarado displayed resilience, surrendering two runs on four hits with only one walk and three strikeouts. However, the Warriors were unable to hold off their opponents' scoring.
Game 2
The Warriors tried to battle back in game two and were once again narrowly defeated in extra innings, 7-6. Despite a strong performance from the Warriors, who showcased notable plays and resilience, they fell just short of victory against their opponent.
From the start, the Warriors' Trenton Canaan took the mound, setting the pace as the starting pitcher. Canaan gave up four runs on six hits, with two walks and four strikeouts over six innings.
Although the Warriors faced a tough battle, standout performances included multiple players who contributed significantly to the scoreboard. Dutro led the way with two runs, including a pivotal double and an RBI in the 7th inning, which was crucial in tying the game.
Austin Santiago also scored twice, including a match-tying run that briefly put Sterling ahead in the game. Additionally, Joseph Almanza executed a sacrifice fly, adding depth to the team's strategy
A major highlight was when Santiago's run in the 7th inning tied the game, pushing the Warriors ahead momentarily. Jace Phillips and Dutro also contributed important RBI singles, supporting the team's offensive efforts. However, in a dramatic turn of events, despite Cipriano Rivera's efforts to hold off Bethany, the Swedes managed a breakthrough in the 10th inning, ultimately securing the win.
