Sterling, Kan.- Sterling -10 Kansas Wesleyan -20

Sterling, Kan.-The Sterling College Warriors took a rough loss against the Kansas Wesleyan University Coyotes this past Tuesday. The Warriors have taken three losses in the conference season against the Coyotes, this game providing the most offense of any of the three games this seasson. This brings the Warriors' record to 16-23 as they head into the last eleven games of the season.

The Warriors started off strong in their attack, keeping the Coyotes scoreless in the first three innings. Luis Morales scored the first run for the Warriors with his lead off home run. The Warriors scored four runs in the third inning, making it 5-0 over the favored Coyotes. Morales walked and then scored off of an Elvis Rumaldo single. Rumaldo stole second and third, then watched Aaron Johnson walk. Elijah Howard smacked a 3-run home run. After these runs were scored, it looked like the Warriors were in complete control.

The Coyotes scored one run in the fourth inning, a warning for the attack to come. Gentry Bradbury, the Warrior's starting pitcher, ended his day at the end of the fourth giving up just one run and struck out nine, including recording all six outs by strikeout in the first two innings. The Coyotes scored thirteen runs in the fifth inning, throwing a massive blow to the Warrior's rhythm. Howard smacked a home run, only bringing in himself. The Coyotes took a 14-6 lead by the end of the inning.

The Coyotes made three runs in the sixth inning and three runs in the seventh. The Warriors scored four runs in the seventh inning, but it was not enough and the game was shortened due to run rule.

Seven Warrior pitchers tried to break the Coyote attack this game.
