Sterling, Kan. – The Lady Warriors knew they had a challenge before them when they welcomed in the sixth-ranked team in the NAIA, Oklahoma Wesleyan University. Sterling continues to show improvement in all spots around the court, but does not yet have the weapons to keep up with the KCAC powerhouse.
Sterling fell in straight sets, 25-13, 25-17, 25-12. OKWU relied heavily on their front row, specifically the hard-hitting Evelyn Rohrberg who led all players with 16 kills. The Warrior's response was by way of Ashlyn Fast and Aliya McClanahan who had 7 kills each for the Warriors. Fast had a great game hitting .312 from the outside.
Although the Lady Warriors play both matches on the road this week, they have a great opportunity to pick up two wins as Tabor College on Wednesday and Friends University on Saturday have a combined 12 wins, none in KCAC play. This Warrior team boasts 10 wins, and has already played a number of top tier teams in conference play.
