Lawrence, Kan.-The Lady Warriors won their final game in pre KCAC play in convincing fashion on Wednesday night in Lawrence. They took on Haskell Indian Nations University in a best of five format and left no doubt who the winner was. Sterling won in straight sets 25-11, 25-16, 25-20.

Set two was much more competitive for the first half before the Warriors took over. Sterling scored the first 6 points in this set, but this time Haskell answered right back with 6 points of their own. Before you knew it, Sterling opened took the set from even to 21-14. At that point it was a matter of finishing things off, which is what Sterling did taking a 2-0 lead.

The Lady Warriors trailed for the only time of the night early in set 3. Sterling found themselves down 5-9 before knotting the game at 9. Sterling took the lead and did not relinquish the lead the rest of the night. In the most competitive set of the night, Sterling held on for a 25-20 win in the third set.
