Tominaga and Alvarez Earn KCAC All-Conference Honors
Wichita, Kan. – The KCAC has released their Women's Tennis All-Conference selections and two Warriors earned honors. Sofia Tominaga and Ana Alvarez each earned Second Team All-KCAC honors as the Lady Warriors turned things around to become a top competitor in the KCAC in just one season.
Tominaga, a preseason All-KCAC selection, lived up to expectation in the No. 1 singles spot. She was 11-4 this season in singles and paired up with Alvarez to play No. 1 doubles. The pair went 7-8.
Alvarez, who played No. 2 singles on last year's team, earned her selection after going 12-3 this season in singles. Competitive in nearly every match, Alvarez made herself known once again in the KCAC.
The Lady Warriors as a team improved leaps and bounds this season compared to last. Sterling went 14-4 this season, including a postseason win; the first since the team was reinstated in the 2017.
