Price and Rodriguez Lead Warrior Swim with Success in Backstroke
Leavenworth, Kan. – Warrior swim was back at it with a quad hosted by the University of Saint Mary. The other teams in the quad were Maryville University and Iowa Western Community College. After a month off the Warriors were ready to get back into the water and compete.
Highlighting the meet for Sterling were Seniors Jared Price and Lana Rodriguez. Price finished first in the 200 backstroke and second in the 100 back. Rodriguez best finish of the quad was also in the 200 back where she finished 2nd, just .4 seconds behind the winner. Maria Laura Genizelli also had a second place finish in the 1000 yard freestyle event.
