Sterling, Kan. – The Lady Warrior soccer team played their last home match of the season Thursday afternoon against the Bethel College Threshers. The game ended in a 4-0 loss for the Warriors.
Sterling had a couple of great opportunities to score, but had unfortunate offside calls that brought the ball back out and gave possession to the Threshers. Sterling was able to put four shots on goal in the match but were unable to convert. Sterling's ball control, time of possession, and time in the attacking third has continued to improve this season.
Elysa Apen had another good afternoon adding another 11 saves to her season total.
Sterling finishes their season on the road on Saturday at Ottawa University. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 pm.
