Lady Warrior Golf Takes on the Evangel Fall Classic
Springfield, Mo. – The Sterling College Lady Warrior Golf team traveled to Springfield, Mo. for the Evangel Fall Classic. Sterling traveled just two members of the women's team and did not qualify for team competition, but saw great competitive rounds by the two SC representatives.
Paige Barnes continued to play well finishing T11 overall finishing with a very impressive 80 in the final round. This three round tournament played very hard during the first two rounds, day 1, with final round scores improving for most of the players on the course. Barnes was no exception. She shot an 87 and 92 on day one and shot an 80 in the final round to finish with a 259, just one stroke shy of the top 10 in individual play. Just five strokes separated the field from sixth place to fourteenth place.
Kenzie Jones was the other representative of the SC Lady Warrior golf team, and she finished 35th overall. Her three round score was 378, with a final round score that cut 17 strokes off of her first round played in the Classic.
This was the final event for the fall season for the Lady Warriors as they take a couple of months off to prepare for the spring season.
