Young Earns First KCAC POTW Award

WICHITA, Kan. — Bailey Young of Sterling College and Taylor Jackson of Friends University have earned the KCAC Women's Basketball Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Monday. The two student-athletes were selected for their performances from January 22-28 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by Equity Bank.

Offensive Player of the Week

Bailey Young - Sterling College

5-10 | Fr. | F | Pretty Prairie, Kan.

Young had an outstanding week, pulling in two double-doubles. Her 19-point, 14-rebound performance was a big reason why the Lady Warriors stayed competitive in their first game of the week against Bethany College, scoring very efficiently. She was the leading scorer this week for Sterling and showed up in all aspects of the game.
