Campos and Perales Earn NCCAA All-Central Region Honors
Two members of this year's Lady Warrior Softball team earned NCCAA All-Central Region honors for their performances on the field this season. Aiyana Campos and Desiree Perales are the two players selected to this year's All-Region team.
This is the second selection for Campos on the All-Central Region team. She led the team in batting average (.445), Slugging Percentage (.641), and on base percentage (.539). She was also top three on the team in runs (40), hits (57), doubles (12), triples (2), and homeruns (3). She tied for the team lead in walks as well. Her on base percentage was good enough for second in the KCAC and she was third in batting average.
This is Perales' first selection to the All-Central Region team. She led the team in hits (65), doubles (13), homeruns (4), and RBIs (47). She was top five on the team in runs (40), slugging percentage (.592), and on base percentage (.456). In the KCAC, she ranks third in RBIs, fourth in batting average, and fifth in total hits.
All-Region selections are based on coaches submitting player information and then those players getting voted on by the coaches in the region. Below are the final results from this year's voting.
