Cross Country Opens Season at Terry Masterson Twilight Classic

Hutchinson, Kan.-The Cross Country season is upon us and Sterling traveled to Hutchinson, Kan. for the Terry Masterson Twilight Classic. Teams from all collegiate levels throughout Kansas and Oklahoma made appearances at this prestigious event.

No Warrior was able to score in the event on either the men's four-mile or the women's three-mile. Sterling was not able to place, however only took two men's and four women's runners. For the men, Nathan Jones finished with a time of 27:37 and Jonah Lugo finished at 29:03. On the women's side, Aubrie Powell led the way with a time of 23:06. Sydney VanHorn recorded a 24:28, first year runner, Delilah Trias, finished at 26:27 and Meaghan Malloy crossed the line with a time of 29:06.

The Warrior's next event will be on September 24 at Bethel College (KS).
