Warrior Indoor Track Takes on the NAIA/JUCO Challenge

Pittsburg, Kan. – Sterling men took home a few points in a large and competitive field on the campus of Pitt State University. Cedric Wilson tied for 3rd in the men's high jump with a jump of 6'0, capturing all 5 of the Warrior's points. He also finished just off of his previous time in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.19. Jacob Bauman was the only other Warrior to compete throwing a 10.59m in the shot put.

The Lady Warriors did not score any points, but Freshman Jessa Lee finished 4th in her heat of the 800 m. This week's time was an incredible 9 seconds faster than her previous weeks. Her time of 2:40.43 was almost a top 10 finish in a field of nearly 25 athletes. Also competing were Janie Perico who ran a 12:50.9 3000m run and Sydney VanHorn who ran the 1 mile in 6:38.91.

Next up for Sterling is the Washburn Open, a two day event scheduled for February 2nd and 3rd.
