
Warriors secure the 5-2 win over the Falcons
Sterling College men's tennis battles against Friends University at home on Thursday, April 3.
The Warriors got the doubles point with wins in the no. 2 and 3 doubles matches. Louis Boisdenghien and Adam King represented Sterling in the no. 1 doubles match where they lost 6-3 to Cristobal Fuentez and Gabriel Gomez.
The duo of Kazuki Fukushima and Kyosuke Ishida beat Enric Garcia and Auron Hoyer in the no. 2 doubles match 6-4. Robin Baransi and Nicholas Sprenger Sampaio sealed the deal for Sterling with a 7-6 tie-breaker win over Augusto Silva Morais and Connor Fitzsimmons in the no. 3 doubles match.
In singles play, Pedro Felipoff took on Fuentez in the no. 1 singles match and lost 6-0, 6-2. In the no. 2 singles play, Yohann Molle went up against Gomez losing the first set 6-2, winning the second set 6-3 and losing the third set 6-4. Boisdenghien battled against Hoyer in the no. 3 singles match losing the first match 6-4 and winning the next two 7-6, 6-3.
Patricio Cifuentes Aguilar got the 6-1, 6-1 win over Garcia in the no. 4 singles play. King took on Silva Morais in the no. 5 singles play winning 6-2, 6-0. Closing things out in the no. 6 singles match was Angel Marin who went against Fitzsimmons and won 6-1, 6-1.
