
Warriors struggle against NCAA DII UA Fort Smith
Sterling College men's tennis traveled to Fort Smith, Ark. on Wednesday, March 19 to take on NCAA DII University of Arkansas – Fort Smith. The Warriors fought hard but came up short, 7-0.
In doubles play, Louis Boisdenghien and Adam King took on Rosello Juan and Anis Ramchane in #1 doubles where the Warriors fell 6-4. In the #2 doubles match, David Garces and Patricio Cifuentes Aguilar lost to Eduardo Bribliesca and Rodrigo Hoppe 6-1. Sterling was able to come out with a win in the #3 doubles match as Kazuki Fukushima and Kyosuke Ishida got the 6-4 win over Killian Darneaux and Keven Praphan.
The Warriors continued to battle in singles play. Pedro Felipoff fell 8-0 to Bribliesca in the #1 singles contest. Yohann Molle went up against Rosello in the #2 match up where he lost 8-3. King also lost 8-3 in the #3 singles contest against Ramchane.
In the #4 singles match, Patricio Cifuentes Aguilar took on Hoppe where he lost 8-2. Nicholas Sprenger Sampaio represented the Warriors in the #5 singles contest against Darneaux losing 8-2. Angel Marin closed things out for Sterling in the #6 singles match against Praphan where he fell 8-5.
The Warriors will be back in action Thurdsay, March 20 in Clarksville, Ark. where they will take on NCAA DIII University of the Ozarks.
