Warrior Tennis Splits on the Road Against Hastings

Hastings, Neb.- Warrior tennis traveled this past Wednesday to go play Hastings College in Hastings, Neb. in a nonconference match. The women would fall (2-5) to the Broncos, but the men would come away with a (6-1) victory.

Women's tennis vs Hasting College (2-5) L

The women played tough matches against Hastings but could not come away with the win. In singles No. 1 Rachel Carlson would fall (5-7, 6-1, 7-10), No. 2 Ana Paola Alvarez Diaz would win (6-1,6-1), No. 3 Camila Castro Medina would fall (4-6, 0-6), No. 4 Brooklynn Kuhn would win (6-1, 6-0), No. 5 Aubrey Anderson would fall (4-6, 3-6), No. 6 Kaylie Fenwick would fall (3-6, 0-6).

In doubles, the women would come up short in getting the doubles point. No. 1 Dubs Alvarez and Castro would fall (4-6), No. 2 Dubs Anderson and Carlson would fall (6-7, 3-7), No. 3 Dubs Fenwick and Kuhn would fall (2-6).

Men's tennis vs Hastings College (6-1) W

The men would dominate against Hastings in hard fought matches to get the win for the Warriors. In singles's No. 1 Antonio Paredes would fall (7-5, 6-7(5-7),6-10), No. 2 Pedro Felipoff would win (6-0, 6-0), No. 3 Angel Marin would win (7-5, 6-3), No.4 Esteban Rocha would win (6-1, 6-0), No. 5 Santiago Quintero would win (6-1, 6-1), No. 6 Hunter Lee would win (6-0, 6-2).

Going into doubles the men would play tough and managed to grab the doubles point. No. 1 Dubs Paredes and Marin would fall (3-6), No. 2 Dubs Felipoff and Rocha would win (6-0), No. 3 Dubs Blede and Hash would win (6-3).

Men's and Women's tennis will be in action against Concordia University at home on Saturday, March 4th in another nonconference match.
