Sterling, Kan. – As solid as Marcelo Fuentes has been for the Warriors, the reigning KCAC Defensive Player of the Week, and the rest of the Warriors fell to the Bethel College Threshers 4-0 on Thursday afternoon. An unfortunate goal by the Threshers a minute into the game set the tone for the rest of the match. The Warriors had a few opportunities to get on the board, but were not able to capitalize throughout the match.
Fuentes ended the match with another 8 saves to add to his season total. Ruben Guzman and Lawm Sangzuala were able to put some pressure on the Thresher defense, and even had a couple of great looks, but just couldn't convert.
The Warriors finish the season on the road Saturday after a short turnaround from the match Thursday afternoon. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 pm.
