Winfield, Kan. – Warrior soccer defended well but was not able to put the ball in the net in a 2-0 loss to Southwestern College. The Builders put one more shot on goal than Sterling, but were able to score the two times to defeat the Warriors.
Sterling was well-balanced on their attack with four separate players taking shots on goal. SWC was able to put score one goal each half to cover the difference.
Sterling is now 3-11-1 (2-8) this season. Marcelo Fuentes, although performing very well in goal, took the loss. The Warriors play at home on Saturday, October 26th, at 2:30 against the Evangel University Valor. It is Senior Day for the Warriors so be sure to come out and support your team.
