Warrior Men Held Scoreless on Senior Day

Sterling, Kan. – Sterling was not able to get their offense started in Saturday's 2-0 loss, even though they were the aggressor in the game. Sterling outshot the Ottawa University Braves 13-9 in the losing effort.

The two teams went into the break with a 0-0 tie. In the second half, Ottawa scored in the 56th and 74th minutes for the only scores of the match. Sterling ends the regular season with a 9-7-2 record overall and a 6-5-2 record in KCAC play.

With the regular season coming to a close, Sterling turns their sites on making a postseason push. Sterling finished 7th in the KCAC. Just one month ago, Sterling tied the perennial powerhouse of Oklahoma Wesleyan University, proving to the league that they are a dangerous team. Postseason matchups in the KCAC tournament will be released over the next several days. Depending on how the KCAC tournament goes, the Warriors will pursue an NAIA postseason birth. If things don't go well in pursuit of playing in the NAIA National Tournament, Sterling will have the option to get into the NCCAA postseason and extend the season for the Warriors.

More information will be upcoming for the postseason tournament.
