Sterling Finishes T8 at Whistling Straights
Sheboygan, Wis. – Sterling Golf's varsity men had the opportunity to play in the Whistling Straights Intercollegiate once again this season at Whistling Straights Golf Course. During the tournament, Whistling Straights played as a Par 72, 6940 yard course. Top teams from across the country came out to play the tournament with your Warriors being one of those teams. Sterling finished in a tie for 8th place out of the fifteen teams that were represented.
There seemed to be two tiers of competition. The top 7 teams finished just 14 strokes apart. There was a 20 stroke gap and then there were the second level teams. Sterling finished tied for the top spot in the lower level. Keiser and Davenport finished tied atop the leaderboard shooting a team total 628. Sterling and Northern Michigan University finished in a tie for 8th place having shot a 662. This concludes the fall season for the Warrior golf team.
Narudol Pinyo had the highest individual finish for Sterling coming in 24th place, with Olivier Aucoin finishing just behind him T28.
