The first half of the game saw Friends University taking an early lead, with Josh Price hitting a crucial three-pointer to kick-start their campaign. Despite multiple attempts from three-point land, Sterling could not get things rolling shooting 15% from beyong the arc. By halftime, Friends managed to extend their lead up to 11 points, leading 38-25. Mooch Austin of Sterling was a standout player, pouring in 29 points, grabbing seven rebounds, and giving out two assists, making him the top performer for his team.
The second half featured a strong pushback from Sterling College, led tirelessly by Austin. The defending moves from Sterling, especially a notable blocks by Elias Ngoga and Cedric Wilson, marked some resistance, but Friends maintained their dominance with key contributions from KJ Spiller and Collin Maclin.
