Warriors get the win over Tabor College

In an exhilarating display of basketball prowess, the Sterling College Warriors secured a dominant 94-71 victory over the Tabor College Bluejays at the Tabor College Gymnasium on Saturday, Feb. 1.

From the outset, the Warriors took control of the court, starting the game on a 11-0 run and by halftime had established a commanding 46-28 lead.

The Warriors' offensive effort was spearheaded by Jayden Garrison, who led the scoring with 18 points, followed by Mooch Austin and Elias Ngoga who contributed 14 and 13 points respectively. Austin also made his presence felt defensively with 3 rebounds and 2 steals while Ngoga led the Warriors in rebounds with eight.

The bench played a significant role in this triumph, contributing a substantial 35 points to the team's total. Leaders off the bench include Damond Daniels with nine points, Gavin Dobbins with eight and Cedric Wilson with seven points and six rebounds.

Up next for Sterling College is a road encounter against Bethel College (11-5, 15-7) in North Newton, Kan., on Feb. 5. The Warriors, currently holding a record of 12-10 overall and 7-9 in their conference, will look to build on this victory and climb higher in the standings.
