Sterling, Kan. – For the second time in a week, Sterling men's basketball played a nonconference game against the Barclay College Bears. Sterling got off to a slow start, but quickly corrected their course and beat the Bears 91-41.
Jayden Garrison was the catalyst for the Warriors as he was 5-8 from three point range and was 10-14 overall from the field. Garrison also led the team in rebouds with 7. Damond Daniels got hot late in the first half and hit a couple of threes including a buzzer beater heading into halftime. He had 12 first half points and ended the game with 15. Elijah Herron continues to show his value recording 6 assists and 2 blocks in just twenty minutes of play.
The Warriors improve to 3-1 this season with a tough weekend ahead. They head to Midland University on Saturday for a 2 pm tipoff and then return home next Tuesday to take on Mission University.
