Cheer Finishes Strong at KCAC Championships; Regionals Up Next

STERLING, KAN. – The Sterling College Cheer team took on the KCAC Championships last Friday in Kansas City, Missouri at Avila University. The team improved their routine for their highest score of the season yet and had a number of team members earn awards. In a tough competition, the team placed seventh overall with a solid score of 55.93 and will head to their Regional Qualifying Competition at Oklahoma City University this weekend.

Kieara Kaufman (FR/Pratt, Kan.) was named Honorable Mention All-KCAC, while Megan Sherraden (SO/Plainville, Kan.) was named the Champion of Character. Megan Sherraden and Saige Pruitt (SO/Flower Mound, Texas) were also selected as KCAC Scholar-Athletes.
