Bio

Justin Morris began his time at Sterling College as a student and soccer player in 1997. In the fall of 1999, he joined the staff as the head coach of men’s and women’s soccer while finishing his bachelor’s degree in health and physical education which he earned in 2000.

Originally from Allen, Kan., Morris has worked a variety of positions for the college starting as the men’s head soccer coach from 1999-2006 and the women’s head soccer coach from 1999-2018. He also worked as an admissions councilor from 2001-2003, the sports information director from 2005-2009, the head tennis coach in 2004 and briefly as the interim head coach in 2022 and served as the assistant athletic director from 2011-2018 before taking over as the Athletic Director in the spring of 2019 and was named the Vice President of Athletics in the fall of 2025.

As a soccer coach, Morris was named the KCAC Women’s Soccer Coach of the Year twice (2004, 2006) and the NAIA Men’s Soccer Regional Coach of the Year (2004). His women’s team was also awarded the NSCAA Ethics and Sportsmanship Award three times (2008, 2013, 2016). By 2018, he was listed in the Top 25 Winningest Active Head Coaches of women’s soccer in the NAIA and is Sterling College’s all-time winningest head men’s and women’s soccer coach.

Morris lives in Sterling with his wife and is a proud parent of three children and three grandchildren.
