18 Warriors named 2025 Daktronics NAIA Spring Scholar Athletes

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) proudly announces the 2025 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes for spring sports. This honor recognizes student-athletes in each of the spring sports who have excelled academically, including baseball, men's and women's golf, men's and women's lacrosse, track and field, softball, men's and women's tennis, men's volleyball and women's beach volleyball. 
To qualify as a Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete, students must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear on the eligibility certificate for their sport, and have attended their institution for at least one full year. This year, Sterling College had 18 student-athletes who met these rigorous standards.

Representing Warrior baseball was senior Michael Tweed, senior Nate Heffline and senior Trenton Canaan. 

Representing Sterling in men's golf was senior Joaquin Gomez, junior Sondre Storli Jensen and junior Zachary Surface.

Representing the Lady Warriors in softball was sophomore Bryley Westfahl, sophomore Mackenzi McKee, sophomore Mya' Dunn, junior Madilynn Green, junior Mallory Seidel and senior Phoebi Waller.

Representing Sterling in women's tennis was senior Camila Castro Medina and sophomore Giovana Gaboardi.

Finally, representing the Warriors in track was sophomore Aliya McClanahan, sophomore Camden Carr, sophomore Janie Perico and senior Lana Rodriguez.
