PERRY AND SCHUTT EARN KCAC WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK & FIELD WEEKLY HONORS
WICHITA, Kan. — Corrssia Perry of Sterling College and Kortney Schutt of Friends University have earned the KCAC Women's Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Monday. The two student-athletes were selected for their performances from January 31-February 6 by a vote of conference sports information directors.

Perry had outstanding showings in all her events, making A-cuts in every event she participated in. The only race in which she finished second, she was the top NAIA runner in the field. This marks the second time this season Perry has been named the KCAC Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.

Schutt had a spectacular weekend at the Bearcat Invite, winning the Weight Throw with an NAIA "A" and "B" standard mark of 17.35 m and coming in as the runner-up in the Shot Put with a "B" standard of 13.22m. Both marks are first in the KCAC, with the Weight Throw mark ranking third in the NAIA and her Shot Put result 14th in the nation. This is the second consecutive week in which Schutt has been named the KCAC Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.
