Antkowiak Earns KCAC Women's Tennis Weekly Honor

WICHITA, Kan. — Michael Beltran of No. 19 McPherson College and Natalia Antkowiak of Sterling College have earned the KCAC Men's and Women's Tennis Player of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Monday. The two student-athletes were selected for their performances from March 11-17 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by Equity Bank.

Beltran had a successful Spring Break trip to Georgia, picking up a pair of wins in the Bulldogs' narrow loss to 11th-ranked Reinhardt. Beltran, along with partner Martin Millos, took care of business in their doubles match against Point, before coming up just short in their doubles match against top-ranked Georgia Gwinnett. The GGC duo included Santiago Villarruel, who is part of the ITA's top doubles pairing.

Antkowiak was electric this week, going 3-0 in singles and 3-0 in doubles. She did not relinquish a point in any singles match this week from the No. 5 singles position. Her doubles pairing is the only pair that won all three of their matches this week, as well. She had a dominant performance this week heading into conference play.
