Warriors Tested at KT Woodman Classic

Wichita, Kan. – Warrior Outdoor Track and Field was at it again, this time at the KT Woodman Classic hosted by Wichita State. This was a big meet that began with high school competitions earlier in the week and ended with the college competition that had all levels represented.

The Sterling men were highlighted once again by the jumping ability of Maurice Gray. Gray finished eighth in the Triple Jump finishing with a new PR. However, due to wind conditions, the jump cannot be considered as a national qualifier. Three other Warriors set new PRs in the 400 m. Camden Carr, Memphis James, and Cedric Wilson each performed at their personal best in the 400. On the women's side, it was Janie Perico who set a new personal best in the 800.

There were no team results in this competition. For a complete list of results to see how Sterling performed against the competition, click here.

The Warriors head to Hillsboro next weekend for the Tabor College Invitational. There are just two competetitions left in the Outdoor season before the KCAC Championships the first week of May. Sterling already has a number of qualifiers for the NCCAA National Tournament, but still seek their first automatic qualifier for the NAIA tournament.
