Warriors Sweep OKWU With a Pair of 5-2 Wins

Bartlesville, Okla. – Men's and women's tennis continue to play well in league play, this time picking up a pair of 5-2 wins over Oklahoma Wesleyan over the weekend.

Women

The Lady Warriors continue to beat teams they are supposed to beat and stay hot with a 5-2 win over the Eagles. Sterling won two of the three matches in doubles, with the only loss be a tough 7-5 loss in No. 1 doubles. After getting the doubles point, Sterling took four of the six singles matches. Below are the complete results.

The Lady Warriors improve to 9-1 and 3-1 in conference play. They return to action on Wednesday afternoon at 3 pm when they take on Tabor College in Hillsboro.

Men

The men's team continues to play well since the beginning of conference play, now winning four of their last five matches. They defeated Oklahoma Wesleyan University by a final score of 5-2. Sterling took the doubles point by winning No. 1 and No. 2 doubles and won singles No. 3 through 6.

Sterling improved to 5-4 overall and 3-1 in KCAC competition. They also play on Wednesday afternoon against Tabor as they look to improve their position in the KCAC before the postseason tournament.
