Men’s Basketball Season Ends on the Road

North Newton, Kan. – The Warrior men's basketball team finished their season Saturday night at Bethel College. Sterling held a one point halftime lead, but were outscored by sixteen points in the second half and ended up with a loss, 82-67.

Sterling distributed the ball well in the first half as ten different players scored and the team had 7 first half assists. At the break they were up 38-37 although not shooting well as a team.

Ean Heise led the team in scoring in the second half with 13, but shooting woes as a team kept them from putting anything together. Sterling was outscored 45-29 in the second half as Bethel put the game out of reach over the last five minutes of the game.

Heise led all Warriors with 21 points. Jayden Garrison was the only other Warrior in double figures with 15. Sterling finished the season with an 11-16 record. They were 7-15 in KCAC play and finished eleventh in the league standings.
