Drovers Extend Unbeaten Streak to Six at Sterling

STERLING, Kan. – Monday afternoon, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (4-1-2, 0-0 SAC) continued to improve their resume with a 4-2 victory on the road at Sterling College (3-2, 0-0 KCAC). With the win, the Drovers improve their unbeaten streak to six games, and they have outscored opponents 18-6 in that span.

After the contest opened with 27 minutes of action, the Drovers were able to claim the first lead on Callum Scott's first goal of the season, assisted by Kento Takamura. USAO extended the lead to 2-0 on Matija Malenovic's fourth goal of the season, assisted by Angelo Leendertse in the 35th minute. Neither team was able to add another goal prior to the end of the half and USAO was able to take a two-goal lead into halftime.

Following the break, the Drovers quickly stretched the lead to 3-0 as Leonardo Schneider scored his first of the season only three minutes into the second half. USAO continued to dominate as Darko Borisavljevic scored his second goal of the season in the 61st minute.

The Warriors finally got on the scoreboard with a goal in the 65th minute, cutting their deficit to 4-1. Sterling continued to battle back with another goal in the 70th minute, but that would be as close as it'd get as the final score would conclude at 4-2.

As a team, USAO attempted 21 shots, with 16 being on goal, while Sterling attempted 15 shots, with nine being on target. The Drovers committed 13 fouls and the Warriors were whistled nine times.
