Sangzuala Scores in Third Straight, Warriors Lose to #4 Eagles

Bartlesville, Okla. – Sterling men's soccer continues to try to find their stride as the KCAC season continues. Saturday was another daunting test as they took on the fourth best team, by ranking, in the NAIA. Oklahoma Wesleyan has been the power house in recent years and this year is no exception.

Lawm Sangzuala scored both goals for the Warriors, one assisted by Daniel Stone, the other unassisted. Sterling had four shot attempts that game, and Wesleyan had 29. The Eagles used the opportunities to their advantage and won 2-7 over the Warriors.

Marcelo Fuentes got the start but was knocked out of competition 11 minutes into the match. Sebastian Torres came in for the remainder of the match.

The Warriors fall to 3-7-1 (2-4) this season and return home next week for a pair of matches. Wednesday, they take on Tabor College and on Saturday they take on Friends University.
